Hello! I am Ricardo Cantergi. I am a Brazilian psychologist who has been living in Berlin since 2022.
I am both a curious explorer and a lazy couch potato who loves Sundays on the sofa. I love trying new things, but I also value quiet time at home, with no rush.
For a long time, I believed that when traveling, I should make the most of every moment, visit all the tourist attractions, and accept all invitations. That always left me exhausted, and now I understand that sometimes the best thing to do is simply stay home and enjoy my own company. And that is enough.
But I also learned the importance of challenging myself. Stepping out of my comfort zone, facing small discomforts. Starting a conversation at a party with strangers, or asking for help at the supermarket using the new language I am still learning. These gestures didn’t change my life overnight, but they were small steps in the process of adapting, of establishing new roots.
And these roots come mainly through communication — something that has always fascinated me. It is through communication that we connect with the world, and it is through communication that I connect with my new world. And often this communication happens without even needing words. Each culture understands communication in its own way, and that makes everything even more interesting.
In the end, I seek to live lightly. So that when a burden arises, it doesn't become too heavy, to the point where I don't believe I can carry it.
